Old Business
Admiral Park – Our Association requested that the flag pole, broken and removed after Hurricane Sandy, be replaced.  We were told that there was no funding available for this replacement.  (Since the meeting, this officer was told that a flag pole will be installed).

In response to a question, Walter Mugdan announced that Sheldon Rosenblum  stepped down from his position as a member of the Board of Directors of the Westmoreland Association, and from his position as Vice President of the Association.

NEW Business –
Dawn Henning, a researcher with the US Forestry Service, made a short presentation.  She is studying land use and management of private lands.  She is studying the impact of such use on the surrounding environment.  She asked a series of questions to the general membership.  She also presented several ideas and material to the group that might be used to alleviate run-off by heavy rains.  The materials included permeable paver systems for driveways and sidewalks, rain barrels and rain gardens.  The responses from the membership were kept off the record.

Bob Timmerman is meeting with the Long Island Railroad officials to discuss the feasibility of building a waiting room and ticket office on the Westbound side of the station at Little Neck Parkway.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM.

Respectfully submitted

Charles Manna, Secretary
