EVENTS FOR FEBRUARY 2012

PRAYER CIRCLE

 

Our prayer .circle is now meeting on Fridays at 11:00 AM in the church parlor. All are welcome to join us for this time of reflection, prayer, and meditation. If you have concerns you would like to share with us, please call the church office or voice them on Sunday, so we can include them in our prayers each week. If you are not able to be with us in person, we invite you to take a few moments between 11 AM and Noon every Friday to pray with us for our church and those on our prayer list. Thank you!

 

JOINT ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

       On Wednesday, Feb. 22 we will join our friends at North Shore Presbyterian Church, 275 Lakeville Road in Great Neck, for a joint Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 PM. We look forward to this significant event, and an opportunity to once again join forces with our good friends from North Shore.

 

LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS AND BIBLE STUDY 

On Thursdays during Lent we will host a series of soup suppers along with a Bible study based on Adam Hamilton's "24 Hours That Changed the World", focusing on the events of the last day of Jesus' life on earth, beginning with the Last Supper and concluding with the Crucifixion. The suppers will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by the Bible study around 7:30 each evening. Each week we will view a video segment, followed by reflection and group discussion on that week's topic.
